Our research in catching has focussed on understanding how optic expansion (looming) information and binocular (stereo) information is combined to allow accurate judgements of collisions.

We have used VR technology to allow precise control of the information and have focussed on judgement in ball tasks although the theory extends to more critical judgements such as cars & road crossing.
