My Brain Imaging Pages |
My
primary occupation during the daylight hours is using functional Magnetic
Resonance Imaging to look at dynamic, event-related changes taking place
in the human brain. This
is often a difficult and frustrating undertaking. For my own use I wrote
a set of notes which then evolved into a set of semi-standard practices
which people in our lab tend to use. For reasons of unbridled hilarity
I called these notes 'fMRI for Dummies'. You can download a pdf version
of fMRI for Dummies from the link below. Particularly recommended if you're
having trouble sleeping at nights. |
| NB. I have recently become aware of this site: fMRI for Newbies. Apparently it used to be called 'fMRI for Dummies', but changed its name under threat from the Wiley Corporation (who publish the "... for Dummies" series of books. I would like to assure Jody Culham (and indeed, the Wiley Corporation) that my use of this particular title was not intended to infringe anyone's copyright whatsoever, but purely as a weak satirical comment. I must also say though, that Jody's site is really excellent and contains a positive treasure-trove of extremely useful and very clearly presented information. |
